From September 4 to 7, within the framework of the project “Youth for Peace,” the Lazare Foundation had the honor of hosting representatives of various religious denominations at the Patriarchal Residence in Bobokvati.

The working meeting brought together representatives of the Georgian Orthodox Church, the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, and the Muslim Community of Georgia. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss community-based peacebuilding and the role of religious leaders in this process.

At the St. Nino Orthodox School of the Patriarchate of Georgia, the project “Visit – A Journey for Peacebuilding” was implemented. Students from Tserovani Public School No. 3 also took part in the event.

The project served as an act of connection and friendship between students from the two schools. During the meeting, the participants engaged in various educational and recreational activities.

On May 16, a meeting titled “Together for Peace” was held at the Odzisi village school. Within the framework of the event, teachers participating in the project “Education for Reconciliation” met with students, parents, and local residents to discuss peacebuilding, the challenges and problems caused by conflict, and ways to resolve them peacefully.

The event also included a screening and discussion of the film “History Turned into a Weapon.”
